Physiotherapy consultations

Nurture Movement is a mobile paediatric physiotherapy service that provides child-centred, evidence-based therapy to support children in playing their way towards their goals.

We provided 1 on 1, functional training that includes attaining developmental milestones, gait re-training, strengthening, balance and co-ordination.

Equipment Prescription

Assistive technology can be essential for supporting a child’s goal. We are able to assess, prescribe and deliver on a range of mobility devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, standers and bikes.

We are also OSKAR trained to support the prescription of orthotics and supportive footwear.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy, is aquatic based physiotherapy, that is a fun and effective treatment proven to directly improve land-based function. Through utilising the unique properties of the water, it facilitates greater freedom of movement. This will help your child make significant progress towards their goals.

Education

Education and training can be an essential part of facilitating access, removing barriers and promoting participation for your child within their community. As a mobile service we are able to advocate and provide training to family and stakeholders working with your child. This promotes continuity of care throughout every area of your child’s life.

Conditions we commonly treat

Funding Options

NDIS

​Nurture Movement is able to work with children whose plan is either self-managed or plan-managed. If your child's plan is agency managed, you are not able to use NDIS funding with us for physiotherapy services.

Private

We are able to provide physiotherapy support to privately funded families. You may be eligible for rebates through Medicare or private health fund rebates. As we are a mobile service, we do not have access to HICAPS. We will provide you with a receipt/invoice to allow you to claim from your fund.
